The new gear which is a self-balancing, two-wheeled scooter that transports users like a skateboard, but without any physical effort is very attractive and popular among children and teens. According to research, it is considered to be the most wanted present nowadays. A consumer protection group states that around half-a- million people got a hoverboard as a Christmas gift. Another million customers included it on their shopping or wish list in the run-up to Christmas Day. Though many of them will be disappointed but safety is of the highest priority and despite the pleasure it gives, hoverboard might be very dangerous. Three of the biggest retailers in the UK, along with Amazon – a worldwide known one, admit the thought of the devices to be disposed and are highly recommending customers to throw their hoverboards away acting on the premise of precautionary measures.
In some countries such Australia and the UK, the usage of hoverboards is not allowed in public areas since they have not been registered as vehicles and riding such devices has not been proved to be safe.
