A Frenchman Frédéric Desnard- 44 years old citizen of Paris, claims that his ex-employer gave him so few tasks to do during the work hours at the office that he suffered from boredom and is now demanding no less than €360,000 (£283,000) as a compensation. According to Frédéric Desnard, for 4 years he has been regularly paid for doing nothing and that feeling of shame has become the subject of a deep depression.
He was displeased with soporific tasks the bosses of a prestigious perfumes company named Interparfum foisted on him over a four-year period thus stripping him of his real managerial role.
Mr. Desnard states that the years spent in the company evoke negative emotions and memories in him, and calls the period spent there as a “descent into hell” or a nightmare that provoke him to serious health problems, such as epilepsy, ulcers, sleep problems and deep depression.
Nevertheless, the lawyer of the company Jean-Philippe Bénissan is deeply persuaded that there are serious inconsistencies in the claims presented by Mr. Desnard for which he has no explanation and excuse as has never complained about being bored during the four-year period.
It would be interesting to know how the affair will come to a head…
